Originally from Plano, Texas, Anna Bauer is a dancer, choreographer, and dance film creator with a BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University. She currently dances for the Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company in Austin, Texas, while continuing to create her own work and teach in both youth and professional environments. Anna has performed and presented her work in events across Texas, such as Agora Artists’ SEEDS Concert, Aimed Dance Company’s Summer Fest, Blipswitch’s Offbeat X, and Houston Fringe Festival. Her dance films have streamed at several virtual festivals, including the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival and FilmFest by Rogue Dancer. She received additional training from Dance Italia in Lucca, Italy, and Agora Artists’ Choreographic Workshop in Dallas, Texas. Anna looks forward to continuing her creative explorations, collaborations, and training in the Austin area, as well as expanding her audiences across the country.
